I don't know if you watch The Mindy Project? This is a weird thing to say in a comment but your post reminds me of it - one of the characters, Danny, doesn't believe in buying gifts so for Mindy's secret santa, he dances to one of her favorite Aaliyah songs! It was the best thing I ever saw. The point being...yes, Christmas is about doing something more for your loved ones that will make them happy and show you appreciate them, not necessarily buying them something!
Oh, and I'm so glad you Googled it and know what I'm talking about!! lol!! :)
